This year Frost will host its fifth annual Walk-A-Thon to support the American Cancer Society. This event will be in connection with our District 54 first annual community service event. District 54 will be supporting the American Cancer Society by fundraising money to make a difference for families. The American Cancer Society strives to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families. They help ensure everyone has the opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer. With the help of your donations, the lives of families and patients can be drastically improved. During the month of April students and staff will raise money to donate to the American Cancer Society. In return for having people donate to this cause, our students and staff pledge to walk around the school on Friday, May 9, 2025, to show support for the work that the American Cancer Society charity does.
We have a goal of each student raising at least $20. We have provided students with a fundraising envelope and a “Dollar Drive” worksheet. The “Dollar Drive” worksheet gives students a way to start fundraising; they can ask friends or relatives to sign their sheet and donate one dollar. Hopefully, this will help students have a conversation with friends and relatives about why they are raising money. Students do not have to use the dollar drive worksheet, it is just a tool to get them started.
We look forward to working together to show how we can be STRONGER TOGETHER by giving back to our own community. The Walk-A-Thon is a school-wide initiative; the more we work together, the more we can give back!
