In order to keep their math skills fresh over the summer, every student will have the opportunity to practice with content that they have seen this year and will need in the year to come. These practice problems will be available through a website called Delta Math, which can be accessed from any computer using a home email address. Since there are multiple levels of math classes offered at Frost Junior High, there will be different assignments for each level. This will allow the students to practice problems that are appropriate for the class they will be entering.
One of the features of Delta Math is built-in support if any student comes across a problem or topic that they are having difficulty with. For each problem, there are options to “See an Example” or “See the Solution”. If the student selects “See an Example”, they will be shown a problem similar to the one they are working on with all work shown and an explanation of the steps. If they select “See the Solution”, they will be shown the problem with all work shown and an explanation. They would then be given a new problem to practice. The option to “See the Solution” is always available, while the “See an Example” option shows up on some questions but not all.
