Dear Frost Families,

The first weeks of the school year have been very successful and the Frost Staff could not be more proud of the effort our Spartans have displayed thus far. It has been a pleasure to connect, engage, and support our students on a daily basis. I want to thank our students, parents, and staff for continuing to display flexibility, determination, and positivity.

Together our collective partnership will continue to make us Frost Strong through High Achievement and Positive Culture. \

Frost Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Arrival and Dismissal at Frost often is a slow process due to the size of the parking lot, so please continue to display patience and civility when entering the school zone. Please avoid backing into parking spots and disrupting the flow of traffic during arrival/dismissal. In addition, dropping students off on Wise Rd. is strictly prohibited due to the safety risk it poses to our students and families.

When students arrive on campus, they will be directed to enter one of the following doors and proceed to their first period class:\

  • Inside row of buses: Enter Door 1 / Main Entrance
  • Outside row of buses: Enter Door 2 / West Entrance
  • Parent Drop Off/Walkers: Enter Door 13 / East Entrance
  • Arrival / Drop Off – Please use both lanes of traffic for drop-off to allow additional cars to access our parking lot in an efficient manner
  • Dismissal / Pick Up – Please use the right lane of traffic for pick up to allow cars to exit the parking lot upon student pickup during dismissal
  • Please avoid making any left hand turns out of the Frost parking lot at Arrival/Dismissal

All entrances to the building will open at 7:30 am and any students arriving after 7:40 am will enter through Door 1 and check in with the main office

After School Busing

After school activity buses are now available for students and leave Frost at 4 pm every weekday except Wednesdays. Activity Buses are made available to students who are eligible to ride the bus to and from school. All students riding the 4 p.m. activity buses must have their bus passes available for the driver.

The bus will stop at community stops, which may not be the same as the student’s regular bus stop. To find the closest stop and the correct route for your student, you may contact our main office at 847-357-6800. Club sponsors and sport coaches will assist the students in determining their activity bus.

Please note that students may not leave campus after school and return to ride the 4 pm bus.

Frost Homework Communication

Please reach out to your student’s teachers for any content specific questions.

Supervision/ Behavior Expectations for Attending D211 Football Games

As we approach another exciting season of high school football, District 211 values the presence and enthusiasm of our local junior high school students at our games. We believe that creating a positive and respectful environment is essential for everyone to enjoy the experience.

To that end, we would like to outline the supervision and behavior expectations we hold for our junior high school attendees: Role of Adult Chaperones: Junior high school students attending our games must be accompanied by a parent or adult responsible for their supervision. The presence of responsible adults not only ensures the safety and well-being of the students but also sets a positive example for behavior and sportsmanship.

Adults may bring up to 4 students to a game and must stay on site while the students are in attendance. Junior High students who cannot identify their adult chaperone at the event will be asked to leave. Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Electric Bikes, Scooters, and Skateboards

Electric bikes, scooters and skateboards are not permitted on District 54 property, due to safety concerns including the potential for accidents and the possibility of fire associated with such devices. This applies to students, as well as to family members and friends who may be picking up or dropping off students at school.

No Food Deliveries Allowed

With a focus on student and staff safety, District 54 will not allow food delivery services (including, but not limited to, GrubHub, DoorDash, and local restaurants) to our schools. We will continue to have hot lunch days, which are planned events, organized and supervised by school or PTA volunteers. However, we will no longer accept other outside food deliveries to keep our schools secure.

District 54 Virtual Backpack

District 54 shares information about community events with our students and families through our Virtual Backpack. We know that parents are interested in extracurricular activities. At the same time, we don’t want the homework, letters from the teachers, school news and other important district information to get lost among the countless other pieces of paper in our students’ backpacks. Please click here for additional information.
