Dear Frost Families,
As we prepare for Thanksgiving Break, the Frost Staff and I wanted to extend our gratitude to all of you for your support and the opportunity to work with your child on a daily basis. Your partnership has been essential to ensure student success at Frost and we are extremely proud of our devoted students throughout the year.
As a reminder, Fall Conferences will take place on Monday, November 25 and Tuesday, November 26. Although there is no school on these days, students are highly encouraged to attend conferences with their families. Students also completed their Fall Conference reflection slides this week, so please take time to review this information with your student. We look forward to further connecting with many Frost families next week!
November Parent-Teacher Conferences
We look forward to connecting with you at our parent-teacher conferences on Monday, November 25, and Tuesday, November 26. For each conference you have signed up for there is a 15-minute window. The first ten minutes have been allocated for your conference, with the remaining five minutes designated as travel time to attend your next conference. We ask that you please limit your conference to these first ten minutes out of respect for other families that are waiting to conference at their scheduled time. Lastly, students are highly encouraged to attend all conferences! We look forward to seeing many Frost Families next week!
Adopt-A-Family and Giving Tree Programs at Frost
Another long standing Frost tradition will be retuning next week. It is the Interact Club’s Adopt-A-Family and Giving Tree. Since 2000, Frost has been making the Holidays bright for struggling families in the community. Starting Wednesday, November 6th, monetary donations will be taken in Advocacy. Students can bring in their spare change and dollars starting on Wednesday to truly make the Holidays wonderful for all families in the community. All money donated will be used to buy food, gifts, and presents for needy local families. Monetary donations will continue every Wednesday during Advocacy throughout November and the first week of December. We will have four total collection days to support families in need! Giving Tree items can also be selected from the wall in the Main Office to brighten the holiday spirit!

Frost Arrival/Dismissal Locations
Arrival and Dismissal at Frost often is a slow process due to the size of the parking lot, so please continue to display patience and civility when entering the school zone.
When students arrive on campus, they will be directed to enter one of the following doors and proceed to their first period class:
- Inside row of buses: Enter Door 1 / Main Entrance
- Outside row of buses: Enter Door 2 / West Entrance
- Parent Drop Off/Walkers: Enter Door 13 / East Entrance
- Arrival / Drop Off – Please use both lanes of traffic for drop-off to allow additional cars to access our parking lot in an efficient manner
- Dismissal / Pick Up – Please use the right lane of traffic for pick up to allow cars to exit the parking lot upon student pickup during dismissal
- Please avoid making any left hand turns out of the Frost parking lot at Arrival/Dismissal
All entrances to the building will open at 7:30 am and any students arriving after 7:40 am will enter through Door 1 and check in with the main office.
District 54 Severe Weather Response Plan
In order to help parents better prepare for the severe cold weather and snow we often get during winters in our community, please review the District 54 Severe Weather Response Plan. Additional information regarding school cancellations can be found HERE.
District 54 Virtual Backpack
District 54 shares information about community events with our students and families through our Virtual Backpack. We know that parents are interested in extracurricular activities. At the same time, we don’t want the homework, letters from the teachers, school news and other important district information to get lost among the countless other pieces of paper in our students’ backpacks. Please click here for additional information.
No Food Deliveries Allowed
With a focus on student and staff safety, District 54 will not allow food delivery services (including, but not limited to, GrubHub, DoorDash, and local restaurants) to our schools. We will continue to have hot lunch days, which are planned events, organized and supervised by school or PTA volunteers. However, we will no longer accept other outside food deliveries to keep our schools secure.
