Frost Yearbook – Order Today!
Frost Yearbook sales are ready to begin and there is no better time for you to preserve this memorable year than right now!
The 2022-2023 Frost Yearbook is now on sale for $25. If you would like to preserve your memories for many years to come please visit the Josten’s website to purchase a yearbook. ALL yearbook sales will be online this year- and must be completed by January 27, 2023. No late orders will be accepted. We will not be ordering extras. Be sure to order today- don’t delay!
Graduation Gowns and Medallions
We are excited for our upcoming 8th grade graduation this spring. Although details have not been finalized for graduation at this time, we will ensure to inform the community once additional information has been received from the District. All students planning to attend 8th grade graduation will need to purchase a graduation gown through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Please see the instructions below for more details:
- Please visit our “School Store” on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Once families click on the “School Store” tab, all graduation gown ordering information will be posted.
- The cost for purchasing a gown will be $17 per student. If you prefer to pay via check, please make checks payable to: Frost Jr. High School. All checks can be dropped off in the Frost Main Office.
- Please note that District 54 schools do NOT wear caps in our graduation ceremonies.
- A Frost graduation medal will also be given to each 8th grade student at no cost. Thank you to the Frost PTA for their gracious purchase for our students.
- Please contact our Main Office at 847-357-6800 with any additional questions or if you prefer to use an older siblings gown for the graduation ceremony.
The store will open on Friday, January 13 and payment is due by Friday, February 17.
After School Academic Support
Students are highly encouraged to participate in after school academic support on a weekly basis for missing assignments or additional academic assistance. Please see the following content support schedule for your reference:
- Monday – Language Arts
- Tuesday -Math
- Thursday – Science / Social Studies

Homework Communication
Frost has implemented a homework spreadsheet located on the Frost website to assist students and families with a weekly snapshot of homework assignments. Families will also be notified via email if your student has 3 or more missing assignments each week. Please reach out to your student’s teachers for any content specific questions.

Eighth Grade High School Transition
District 211 has updated its comprehensive transition guidebook for the high school graduating class of 2027. The guidebook highlights important information the families of current 8th grade students will want to know. Each District 211 high school has a unique version of the Class of 2027 Transition Guidebook. You can locate electronic copies of each high school’s guidebook on the District 211 webpage devoted to incoming freshmen information. Please contact your student’s prospective high school for more information about the high school transition.

District 54 Personal Assessment of Core Competency Survey
District 54 is committed to ensuring not only the academic success of each student, but also their social-emotional wellbeing. Your insight as a parent/guardian is essential in creating the most well-rounded picture of your student’s strengths and opportunities for growth. To gather your perspective, District 54 will send families of students in grades 3-8 an email link for each student to the District 54 Personal Assessment of Core Competency Survey on Monday, January 9.

Become a District 54 Paraprofessional!
Have you always wanted to work full-time in District 54? Have you always liked the idea of assisting a teacher or helping a student reach their full potential? If you hold a high school diploma (or the equivalent) you are now qualified to become a District 54 Paraprofessional through the short-term paraprofessional license. District 54 Virtual Backpack
District 54 shares information about community events with our students and families through our Virtual Backpack. We know that parents are interested in extracurricular activities. At the same time, we don’t want the homework, letters from the teachers, school news and other important district information to get lost among the countless other pieces of paper in our students’ backpacks. District 54 Early Childhood Programs
Did you know that District 54 offers early childhood programs to families living within District 54 boundaries? Our Early Learning Center offers a FREE preschool program for children ages 3-5 who are screened and found eligible for our program. We also provide special education services to students who are identified as having a disability. For more information or to set-up a screening appointment, call 847-230-1700 or visit our website.
District 54 also offers a Prevention Initiative Home-Visiting Program for families with children ages 0-3 who are screened and found to be eligible. If you or anyone you know is expecting or has a child ages 0-30 months, you can see if you qualify for the home visit program by emailing [email protected].You can also read more information about this program on our website. In addition, our Parent Educators offer monthly events that are FREE to any family in the District 54 community with children ages 0-5.
