Teaching our students about philanthropy
Each year we host a walk-a-thon to help teach and inspire our students to be active citizens who make a positive difference in their community. This year we let the students choose the charity that they wanted to support; when they voted they chose to support animals because it is something that they feel passionate about.
We set a school goal of raising $5000. As of Tuesday, May 21st we are only at $400. Could you help us out?
Can you encourage your student to participate in the walk-a-thon and fundraise even just $8? If each of our students raises $8, we will exceed our goal of $5000. We are working to model for our students how you can support members of your community to make a positive impact, in hopes that when they grow up they they will be active citizens who positively impact their community.
We appreciate your support in raising $5000 to support the Almost Home Foundation for animals! Our students will walk in return for the donations that they receive as well as to show support of the Almost Home Foundation’s work they do on May 29th.
