High Achievement

Eighth Grade High School Placement Exam and Information Meeting: District 211 will be administering a placement exam for incoming freshman (current eighth grade students) on Saturday, October 14, 2017.  District 211 has posted some general information regarding their assessment on their website at 211 HS Placement Test. To better prepare you and your student, Frost will be co-sponsoring an information meeting for parents on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Mead Junior High School.  At this meeting, representatives from each of the area high schools (Conant, Schaumburg, and Hoffman Estates) will present information and additional details related to the assessment.  Please see attached flyer D211 Parent Info Night 2017.docx for more details.  Additional, we have received notification from District 211 that Transition Guidebooks have been mailed out to parents.  These guidebooks will provide information on the high school transition process and enrollment procedures.

Student Goal-Setting Conferences are coming up on October 5 and 6.  Please see attached letterConferences Letter to Parents 17-18.doc for more information.  We look forward to seeing our families during these important meetings.

Help Houston Book Fair:  On October 5 and 6 during conferences in the Frost LRC, we are hosting a book fair to benefit a school in Houston impacted by Hurricane Harvey.  You can buy books from our book fair either in person or online at http://www.scholastic.com/bf/rfrostjrhighschool.  The online book fair runs through October 10.

Report cards:  District 54 launched an online report card at the end of last school year.  Everyone who has a parent portal account will be able to see their children’s report cards online by November 21, 2017. All parents and guardians who have not previously created a portal account but have supplied District 54 with an email address will receive an email during the first week of October with a direct link to sign up for the portal. If you do not receive an email but would like to create a portal account, please contact our office.  If you are unable to access the parent portal and require a paper copy of your student’s report card, please contact our office.
