PBIS Site for Legislators to Visit
Feb. 25, 2011 – Frost has been selected by the Illinois PBIS Network as a great location to invite legislators to visit and see first-hand the positive impact of PBIS. As part of this process, they are sending a personalized letter on our behalf to local Illinois state and federal legislators encouraging their visit. The letter will highlight successful outcomes of PBIS implementation, provide information on how the PBIS framework is addressing important social issues, and thank them for their support.
Sept. 24, 2010 – Frost was one of a small number of schools recommended by the PBIS Illinois Network for Illinois legislators to visit. We were chosen because of the positive results that we have had in supporting student behavior and student learning. Frost has reduced the number of discipline referrals and suspensions for three straight years while improving our ISAT performance and drastically reducing the number of students who earned a D or F. We look forward to being visited by a state or federal legislator in the future.
